  1. The last presidential election was in 1998, the new Bartlet Administration took office in January of 1999. (Although there is some new information that the years aren't right.)

    • The Federal Election Commission is about to try and reform the campaign finance rules on soft money. (Too bad, Senator McCain isn't in that world to enjoy it.)

    • India attacked Pakistan in January of 2000 and the US is going to build them an infrastructure.

    • A recent U.S. Ambassador to Bulgaria had an affair with the Prime Minister's daughter.

    • A Democrat Presidential candidate from New England took the South in a recent presidential election.

    • The U.S. attacked Syrian military targets in August of 1999. No wonder the Syrian President wouldn't negotiate any concessions when Clinton saw him shortly after that in our world.
